Kenyan child getting water from dried river bed
Water is something we take for granted in the United States.  Most of us have never been without it.  Not so in Kenya.  In the face of an eighteen month drought, people are dying everyday from a lack of water.
LifeSpring UMC (our new church plant) is partnering with "The least of These Ministries" (Bobby Gale), in a mission project to drill a well in Kenya that can give life giving water in the name of Jesus.  In the Statesboro District, we are partnering with LifeSpring as a District wide mission project to drill this well in memory of the Rev. Joe Roberson, our former District Superintendent.  The cost of the well (including a diesel generator, tank, and fencing) is $20,000. We are asking that Statesboro District Churches and individuals consider making a gift to this project.  Have a fund raiser, a special offering, a communion offering, etc.  Lets offer life in the name of Jesus and in memory of Joe who led us to follow Him who is the "Living Water".
Donations can be sent to LifeSpring UMC (maked for the Living Water Project), P.O. Box 886, Statesboro, GA 30459
